CNN —Professional bowler Brandon Novak is facing child pornography charges after he was reportedly arrested midway through a tournament earlier this month. Per the report, Chillicothe police were first notified of Novak last year when a complaint was filed regarding his Facebook account being associated with child pornography, according to The Dispatch. CNN —An unarmed Black man was attacked by a police officer’s K-9 as he surrendered to authorities with his hands up, despite an Ohio State Trooper repeatedly urging officers not to release the dog. The video then cuts to what appears to be a state trooper coming out of his vehicle and walking toward the driver. “Do not release the dog with his hands up,” a state trooper warns several times from a distance. Circleville K9 Officer R. Speakman deployed his K9 on the suspect.”Footage shows the dog was released after repeated warnings from the state trooper. “Get the dog off of him,” the same state trooper yells several times.

Tim Michels, the Republican nominee in Wisconsin’s race for governor, can’t keep his messaging straight on abortion rights — a top issue in the state and nationally. But in recent days, he has done just that — offering support for policies less hard-line than the 1849 law, while continuing to insist his position hadn't changed. The remark stands in stark contrast to comments Michels made during the primary, too, when he called the law an “exact mirror" of his own personal position on abortion rights. While Michels’ latest comment appears to further soften his position on abortion, the governor doesn’t actually have the power to arrest or charge anyone under the 1849 or any other law. In September, just days after pledging to not soften his position, Michels said he would support an abortion ban that includes exceptions for pregnancies resulting from rape or incest.
